About Us
An Open Letter from Our Founder
Growing up, when my father wasn’t working as a fireman, he was becoming my first introduction to how important the application of legacy is to every job done. He established within me an early love for building and repairing, and with a son of my own now, I plan to instill the same principles of quality craftsmanship and honest work into each task he completes throughout his lifetime.
My father taught me everything I know about tools and building, and his early foundational teachings paved the way for the 24 years of professional construction experience that I have now had the privilege of accruing. This experience includes a Bachelors of Science in Construction Engineering Management and a Masters of Business Administration, both of which were earned in parallel with hands-on field work on the contractor’s side as a builder and on the owner’s side as a facilities manager. My personal experience spans small restaurants and office buildings to major defense industry infrastructure, clean rooms, and site work.
While in elementary school, science projects always stood out to me as the biggest, most important, and most creative displays of craftsmanship that far exceeded a teacher’s expectation of what young students were capable of creating. This early recognition of purpose inspired my ensuing choices in high school where working with my hands became more than just a hobby. The deep sense of satisfaction that I found through building led me to seek out and earn jobs working in various shops where I welded steel fences together, jackhammered slabs apart, and drove 16d nails into a stud-frame wall for remodeling projects. My friends were working in grocery stores, but I knew that my calling was found in the earned gratification of building or repairing an artifact that came from my hands alone. My passion lies in the art of construction and perfecting the professional skills that necessitate a successful process. There is no other avenue for me; I am a builder and professional craftsman.
As an owner and project manager overseeing several thriving operations, working with my hands is not much of a requirement anymore. However, I still seize every opportunity to pick up my tools. My joint achievements of field experience and academia-earned business acumen allow me the unique ability to plan and execute any project with success. Whether discussing topics such as scheduling and planning to more distinctive matters inclusive of quality, design, execution, or pricing, I hold to high esteem the fulfillment that my customers find in the assured promise of my professionalism and skill as a craftsman. Solving big problems through creative solutions is a leveraged talent, and I aim to see my clients’ satisfaction the entire way through.
I not only take pride in my own abilities, but I also encourage my team of crews to recognize the values that they hold as expert craftsmen as well.
